What the Bicycle Crossing sign means
This yellow or fluorescent yellow-green diamond with a bicycle symbol warns that a bike route or path crosses or joins the road ahead and cyclists may be present. Slow down, scan the shoulders and the crossing point, and be ready to share the road or yield to riders. It appears where a bike path meets the roadway or where cyclists frequently cross. Give bicyclists room, check your mirrors and blind spots before turning across their path, and expect riders of all ages, including children.
What to do when you see it
Slow, watch for cyclists crossing or joining the road, and give them room before you turn across their path.
